This tank is 100% as-advertised. Although similar in size to its cousin, the TFV8 Baby Beast, the focus of Smok’s Spirals tank is on flavor, not clouds. Don’t get me wrong, with the X4 or the T8, the Baby Beast puts out extremely flavorful vapor. The difference between it and the Spirals is that the Baby Beast drinks juice almost as quickly as the full-size TFV8, whereas the Spirals uses much less power and merely sips juice as a result. It doesn’t put out room-filling clouds, but that’s not the point of this tank. It’s made for flavor, and it doesn’t disappoint. The 0.6-ohm coil’s suggested sweet spot is 28 watts. The 0.3-ohm, 35 watts. I’ve found that the RBA with the provided clapton coil (0.55-ohms) works best from 25-30 watts. I’m sure that number will go up if I can fit some fused clapton or (doubtful) juggernaut wire into it. Point is, this little beauty puts out flavor that is on par with any other sub-ohm tank I own (Crowns I & II, D1, TFV4, Baby Beast, Cleito, Limitless RDTA Plus, Arctic V8 Mini) and it only uses a fraction of the power/juice. As I’m not that interested in clouds, or spending more money than I have to, this is a major plus in my book. It is a bit tight on the draw, but nowhere near a MTL tank. I’d say it’s about 2/3rds of the airflow provided by the Baby Beast with both tanks wide open. Other than that, there aren’t any drawbacks to the Spirals that I have found. If you’re a flavor chaser like me, this tank is a must-own!
